Dillinger E-Service and the E-Connect App

The complexity of processes and products in the steel industry has prompted us to support our customers with our E-Service platform. The E-Connect app has now been added to this service – ensuring customers can always maintain contact with Dillinger and their steel plate. While you as a customer can find and download information about your orders in Dillinger's E-Service area, including current order status, certificates, invoices, delivery history or tools for plate processing, the app now offers even more practical services: a plate can be identified quickly and reliably as Dillinger heavy plate by using a smartphone or tablet to scan its barcode or by manually entering the rolled plate number.
You can find all certificate information and test results for ‘your’ plate there. Based on this, you can obtain information on processing with just one more click, including the optimum cooling time during welding or the recommended preheating temperature during flame cutting. As a result, it offers customers true additional value. At the same time, the app is a good example of our activities in the areas of e-commerce and digitalization of sales channels, as well as of the digital transformation throughout the entire company.

Thanks to modern, progressive web app technology, the app – which is already being used by some customers and has generated positive feedback – does not have to be downloaded to be used. The modular structure allows the app to be continuously adapted to changing requirements through additional, customer-focused developments.
